Fairmont-Willow Cemetery is a beautiful memorial park in Willow Springs between 95th st., Willow Springs Road and Archer Road, surrounded by forest preserves and only a short ride from St. Luke Parish. It is in this park that St. Luke has purchased grave sites. We are the first Orthodox presence in this locatione where we have had a stately Orthodox cross marking our area and overshadowing our grave sites.

Each year in the spring, Fr. Andrew Harrison chants a Memorial Service on the site for those buried there and blesses each grave. This is comforting to those who have no relative living to know that they their grave will also be blest and not fogotten.

One does not need to be a member of St. Luke to purchase a site in this designated location. This park is also convenient to the other Orthodox churches in this area.

Job Description

Responsible for the sale of cemetery lots and the purchase of additional land. Oversees the care of the cemetery plots and monuments. Facilitates funeral arrangements comforts families during times of loss and providing referrals for grief therapy.


St. Luke Purchased a section of lots to establish a parish cemetery. A monument was purchased and installed. Following Divine Liturgy Father Andrew led a procession to the St. Luke section where he blessed the lots and monument.
